Other Ways to Save on Prescription Costs

Saving money on prescription medications is a goal for millions of Americans. Fortunately, there are many ways to save on prescription costs, ranging from prescription drug coupons to manufacturer coupons, to shopping from multiple pharmacies to get the best deals.

RxSaver

RxSaver offers prescription drug coupons, free of charge, without a required membership. RxSaver can be used if you don’t have insurance, or in place of your insurance. RxSaver offers coupons for thousands of prescription medications, with possible savings of up to 85%.

Simply type in the medication you need, on the RxSaver website or app, and you’ll find the pricing at your nearby pharmacies.

You can also request a free RxSaver Prescription Discount Card, which will be mailed to you at no cost, and can help you save on both prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Manufacturer Coupons

Manufacturers of various prescription medications may offer savings programs or coupons for high-cost medicines. To save money on your prescriptions, look for coupons or prescriptions available online from various pharmaceutical companies.

Prescription Prices Can Vary from Pharmacy to Pharmacy

Pharmacies in your local area may offer different prices on your prescriptions. Even with a Kroger Rx Savings Club membership, another pharmacy may offer you a lower price. Be sure to use RxSaver’s free price comparison tool to shop around and make sure you’re getting the best price for your medications.

Request Generic Medication Instead of Brand Name Medication

Wherever possible, fill a prescription for a generic medication, rather than the brand name drug. Generic medications are just as safe and effective as their brand name counterparts. According to the FDA, when multiple generics are available, customers often realize savings of approximately 85% when compared to the brand name drug.

UseRxSaver to Save Up to 85% on Prescriptions

RxSaver prescription drug coupons may beat some of the prices available through membership in the Kroger Rx Savings Club. There is no membership fee to join RxSaver. RxSaver can be used in place of insurance when the coupon price is less than your copay. RxSaver can also be used if you do not have prescription drug coverage.
