This drug can cause serious (possibly fatal) harm to an unborn baby if used during pregnancy. Therefore, it is important to prevent pregnancy while taking this medication. If you are planning pregnancy, become pregnant, or think you may be pregnant, tell your doctor right away.

  • This drug may impair the ability to operate a vehicle, vessel (e.g., boat), or machinery. Use care until you become familiar with its effects.
  • Warning: To prevent loss of effect, keep drug in original container. Close tightly right away after each use.
  • Be consistent in how to take each dose of this medicine. Either take it with food or without food.
  • Avoid taking with high fat foods.
  • Do not take this medication with grapefruit, orange, or apple juice.

Pregnancy Warnings

  • Exposure during second and third trimesters of pregnancy can cause decreased fetal renal function and increase morbidity and mortality risk. Exposure to drugs affecting the renin-angiotensin system can result in oligohydramnios and fetal death.
