Synthroid Warnings

This medication should not be used for weight loss. Normal doses of this medication will not work for weight loss, and large doses of this medication may cause serious, possibly fatal side effects, especially when taken with diet pills.

• Take on an empty stomach
• Medication should be taken with plenty of water.
• Do not take antacids or products containing calcium or iron within 4 hours of taking this medication.
• Take as a single daily dose before breakfast
• It is very important that you take or use this exactly as directed. Do not skip doses or discontinue unless directed by your doctor.

• LIMITED DATA SUGGEST NO ADVERSE EFFECTS ON INFANT

Pregnancy Warnings

• Human data do not suggest adverse effects or developmental toxicity with exposure. Pregnant women may require increased levothyroxine requirements. Monitor serum TSH levels and adjust levothyroxine dose accordingly. Untreated hypothyroidism during pregnancy can lead to serious fetal/neonatal effects or developmental toxicity.
